The Postgraduate Studies Programme was established in accordance with Government Gazette 1530/4-5-2018, Series B, and was amended by Government Gazette 868/20-2-2023, Series B.
The Programme leads to a Master’s Degree entitled “Digital Information Management – Information Services”.

The rapid development of Information Science and information management technologies on the Internet has led to a convergence in the ways in which the collections of Archives, Libraries and Museums are managed, through common and reusable technologies and tools for the organisation and management of information resources. For this reason, professionals whose interests focus on the development and management of information services need to acquire specialised knowledge and skills, enabling them to participate in research on the evolution of tools for organising and managing such collections, as well as in the development of new tools that ensure unified, integrated and long-term access to diverse and distributed information sources. The aim of the Postgraduate Studies Programme “Digital Information Management – Information Services” is to provide postgraduate education and to promote and expand research in a rapidly evolving field of outstanding scientific, social and economic significance: the development and management of information systems and services in a digital environment.

The total duration of studies is 3 (three) academic semesters, of which the first two involve compulsory course attendance, while the third is devoted to the preparation of the Master’s Thesis. For the academic year 2025-2026, courses are delivered through a synchronous distance learning platform.. Attendance of the Postgraduate Studies Programme by successful applicants is FREE OF CHARGE.
